Off The Shoulder

I’m a sucker for a good off the shoulder top.  And Free People has SO many cute ones in their Fall line right now.  I can hardly contain myself.  So if you are looking for a good off the shoulder number, be sure to check out this one, and my other favorites linked below!

Open Back Sweater

I have to say, I am loving the open back shirt trend.  A little business in the front, party in the back, if you will.  And of course, I am always on board for any outfit that involves booties, destroyed shorts, and long sleeve tops-all perfect transitional pieces for this time of year!

Tunic

I love a good tunic paired back to skinny jeans and a staple pair of pumps.  It’s definitely a go-to look for me.  And when I’m on the hunt for a new tunic, Free People is always a brand that I look to first.  They have some of the best tops around, in my opinion.  Particularly if you are looking for something flowy and comfortable for summer.

Free People Shopping Hack

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Free People.  They have the best tops and dresses, both basic and trend.  And while their prices can be high, they also have great sales.  Take for example the top in today’s post, it was originally over $100, but I scored it for just under $25.  So if you love FP like I do, but aren’t into spending over $100 on a top, then I recommend you do your Free People shopping at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Macy’s.  I always keep an eye on the pieces I love and then check prices during the weekend, when department stores typically have their big sales.  And another helpful hint?  If you have a Macy’s card, Free People is excluded from their 20% off coupons if it is full price, BUT once it breaks price and goes on sale, those 20% off codes work-so you can save even more!

Be sure to check out the end of the post as I’m sharing some of my favorite Free People tops on major sale right now!

Budget Denim

Truth be told, I am a creature of habit when it comes to denim.  AG and 7  for All Mankind are by far away and my favorite brands and have been for several years.  I’m also a fan of Paige, Joe’s, and Citizens.  But I don’t necessarily love the high price tag of these designer brands.  So every now and again, I’ll test out denim brands based on trend.

And that’s what led me to these jeans.  I saw one of my favorite bloggers, Emily, from The Sweetest Thing, wearing this specific pair and I thought they were so cute (she tends to wear the same brands of denim that I do), that I decided to give them a try.  And I am SO glad that I did!  Not only are they cute, comfy, and fit true to size, but the best part?  They are on sale for less than $90!  So if you are looking for new denim for the spring season, I would highly recommend these!

Happy Friday, my sweet friends!  Not to be a squeaky wheel, but if you have a chance to, I would be so appreciative if you would vote for me to be on the cover of Redbook Magazine’s September cover!  All you have to do is GO HERE and click vote!  You can vote as many times as you wish between now and May 10th!  And THANK YOU so much for your support!!!!

Love you guys!

Cowl

I love a good turtleneck.  But I also love a good cowl neck.  And this cute and cozy waffle knit cowl from Free People has been a go-to for me all season.  My favorite pieces are those that answer the inevitable frustration of looking in your closet and feeling like you have nothing to wear, and this top does that flawlessly.  Plus, it’s on major sale right now too!

Faux Fur

When I was in the 3rd grade, my auntie gave me a gorgeous white fur coat for Christmas.  And let me tell you, I was absolutely enamored with it.  That is until I overheard she and my mom talking about it on the phone and the fact that it was made from “bunnies”.  And after I heard that, I never wore the coat again.  But even though I learned form a very young age that I was not a proponent of real fur, I did stumble upon a love for faux fur that has never wavered.  And every year when the temperature drops, I look forward to pulling out all of my faux fur pieces, especially my faux fur vests!!

Summer Boho

I posted a photo on my Insta a couple of weeks ago wearing the top in today’s post, and I had so many questions about it, that I wanted to put it up on the blog.  It is another score from SheIn, and is a dupe for the Free People version-but this one won’t break the bank at under $20.  The quality is also great-just like the other pieces I have tried from SheIn.  It’s little short on me to be worn as a dress (keep in mind I am only 5’3″), but you could easily wear something underneath to give it a little length.  I styled mine with denim shorts and tied it in the back so that I could do a messy front tuck.  I also love it paired it with booties to give it a perfect summer boho feel.

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend with your family and friends, and that your Monday isn’t too painful! 🙂
