Winter Florals

Even though it’s the dead of winter, I can’t help but find myself already wishing for spring. So I’ve been slowly starting to incorporate some florals and brights back into my wardrobe. And this Free People top is a new favorite! I have it tied here to make it a little shorter in the front, but it’s a great tunic length and would look perfect (untied) with tights or leggings.

But I’m curious to know, do you guys feel about wearing florals in the winter?

When I posted this gray jacket on Instagram last week, I had a lot of you ask me if I would include it in a blog post. And because I love it just as much as you guys seem to, I couldn’t help but oblige. Not only has this jacket become a staple in my wardrobe this winter, but it is under $40 (say what?)! Fringed

My motto this season? Fringe, fringe, and MORE fringe! I am loving everything from footwear, to bags, to apparel. And while I think every gal should own a couple of fringe pieces in her closet this Fall (even just one is ok!), this is a great example of trend that may or may not still be around next season. So while it’s fun for right now in 2015, my advice is to be smart about your fringe purchases and not invest too much $ wise. Case and point are the shoes in today’s post. I have been eyeing for them for what seems like forever, but I just didn’t want to commit to the price tag. So when they finally went on major sale, I pounced. And you know what? I know I’ll have fun wearing them, but that I definitely won’t feel badly about buying them if fringe isn’t all the rage next season.

There is a funny saying floating around Instagram that says: “Nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy”. And every time I see it, I have a good chuckle, because sometimes it isn’t that far from the truth! Such was the case for the sweater in today’s post. I tried it on at JCrew last summer and decided not to buy it (even though I loved it). And I have always regretted not purchasing it.
