Boho

Well hi there, friends! I guess I took a little hiatus from the blog! I have been so busy with traveling for work, celebrating my birthday in wine country, and blogging over at SLMag, that I’ve fallen a little behind! But I’m back and hope you are all having a fantastic week!

Today I want to share with you the dress that I wore on my birthday to ride bikes with my sweet hubby through Sonoma for a little wine tasting and fun (if you follow me on Insta @alldolledupblog, then you already got a chance to see it!). I am very short (5’3″), so don’t typically tend to go for the flowy, boho look since a lot of the tops and dresses tend to swallow me up and not look so flattering. But I have been seeing this dress everywhere lately, and really wanted to try it on. And surprisingly, I loved it. In fact, it turned out to be the perfect thing to wear for riding a bike, while still looking somewhat put together at the vineyards!

Also, you will have to forgive the quality of these photos. The fog and wind both rolled in so fast, that this was all we were able to snap before the lighting and weather made it too impossible to shoot. I have some more fun photos that I will be sharing later this week with a complete round up of our amazing trip! So stay tuned!!!!

In case you haven’t noticed, I am into all things floral lately. I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t seem to help myself. And stripes and florals together? Pretty sure that is one of my favorite combos of all time. Especially when you add in a little pop of leopard!

I love bright colors. And at the top of that list? All things neon. Which makes this skirt one of my very favorite things in my closet this spring. I love a good jacket! Especially this time of year when the temps are warming up, but it’s not quite warm enough (at least where I live!) to go without some layers. I had been eyeing this jacket at JCrew for quite some time, so when I finally went on sale, I pounced. It is a classic piece that I will have in my closet for years to come and lately that is what I am trying to focus on-making smart shopping decisions.

Two of my favorite things? A comfy knit dress, and this gorgeous white barn up in Park City!!! I have been consciously trying to incorporate long sleeve casual dresses into my wardrobe this year. Not only are they incredibly comfortable, but they are great for so many different occasions-especially when you want to be a little dressed up without being overdone. Sometimes there is nothing better than a great stripe. It’s a tried and true print that never goes out of style and looks great in tops, jackets, pants, shoes, even bags! So if you don’t have any stripes in your closet, or if you have been too busy wearing florals this spring and neglecting your stripes (like me!), then it’s definitely time to revisit! Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was filled with home renovation projects, friends, and lots and lots of sunshine and biking. BUT despite the fantastic weather, there was definitely still a chill in the air. And this time of year, when temps are still in that in-between phase, I find that a denim jacket is the perfect weight to layer on over your outfit to keep you warm and stylish. And I am loving this pale blue, white washed version from Nordstrom. It’s a nice change-up from tried and true blue and gives me different options for styling than my go-to JCrew denim jacket.
