Surplus Jacket

A favorite item in my wardrobe every Fall, is a classic army surplus jacket.  Not only is it a practical piece, but it’s also perfect for layering with just about any outfit you put together.  So if you don’t own one yet, this is the season to take the plunge.  And I’ve linked a few of my favorites below to make your shopping that much easier.

Hope you guys are having a great week!  If you follow me on Snapchat (alldolledupblog), then you know I came up to Montana for the wedding of a close family friend, and to visit my family for the past couple of days.  And I have to say, it’s FREEZING here!  I definitely did not pack the right things.  But I’m always so thankful to be home with family (no matter the weather), especially my sweet niece!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fall Trends with JCPenney

I am so excited to be teaming up with JCPenney and People StyleWatch today to share with you two of my favorite Fall trends.  Up first? Bomber jackets.  And while they’ve been on trend for the past couple of seasons, this year it’s worth venturing beyond army green, and picking up an embellished version complete with cute and sporty patches.  And my second favorite? Fringe.  But especially fringed bags.

So if you are looking to test drive some of the hottest trends this Fall (without breaking the bank), then I would definitely check out your local JCPenney.  I scored both my bomber jacket and my fringe bag for just under $50-TOTAL!

Open Back Sweater

I have to say, I am loving the open back shirt trend.  A little business in the front, party in the back, if you will.  And of course, I am always on board for any outfit that involves booties, destroyed shorts, and long sleeve tops-all perfect transitional pieces for this time of year!

Fall Vibes

While I hate to see summer go, I do love me some Fall fashion!  And even though it’s still pretty hot here in Salt Lake, I am already starting to gravitate towards Fall color combinations, like today’s rust, leopard, and black look.  And if you don’t have this top in your life yet (it also comes in a dress version!), then you need it ASAP.  It comes in a bunch of colors and is less than $30.  It’s seriously the best.

PLUS don’t forget to stop by my Instagram to enter to win a pair of the Karen Walker sunglasses I’m wearing in today’s post! Contest ends tonight at midnight MST. Good luck!

Sugar Plum

Plum is always a color I’m drawn to during the Fall months.  And one of my favorite ways to wear it, is mixed with shades of pink.  And I’m talking all shades of pink-from blush to hot pink.  Plus, plum always looks great with a bold berry stained lip, which is perfectly on trend (and fun!) for the upcoming season.

Midi

I’m not very tall, at only 5’3″, so I typically shy away from midi-length dresses and skirts since I sometimes think they tend to swallow me up.  But that’s not to say I don’t keep trying to find styles in this length that work for me.  So I was pleasantly surprised when I found a couple of midi-length dresses at the Gap recently that are not only super soft and comfy, but are also really flattering (you can see the other midi-dress here).  Plus this dress will look great with a leather jacket during the Fall season.  DSC_2717 DSC_2719 DSC_2783 DSC_2737 DSC_2732 DSC_2761 DSC_2729 DSC_2782

Dress: Gap (40% off with code: STYLE at checkout) | Necklace: Raven & Lily | Cuff: Stella & Dot | Bag: Phillip Lim (this is the medium size) | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Heels: INC (old), love these

Happy, happy weekend, my sweet friends!  Anyone have any fun plans?

xoxo,

Abby

P.S. Be sure to stop back by on Monday, because I’ll be giving away a pair of my favorite Karen Walker sunglasses!!!!!!!!!!!

Print Mixing

Fashion trends come and go, but one thing that always remains a favorite in my book, is mixing plaid and leopard.  And while this outfit is perfect for warm summer nights, it does give off the vibe of just a hint of Fall.  Perfect for this time of year.DSC_2950 DSC_2931 DSC_2987 DSC_2876 DSC_2935 DSC_2986 DSC_2950 DSC_2921 DSC_2984 DSC_2941Top: Gap (40% off with code: FUNDAY) | Denim: Joe’s Jeans | Cuff: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Karen Walker via Ditto (rent them for FREE for one month with code: ALLDOLLEDUPBLOG at checkout) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Heels: Steve Madden

Hope you guys all had a wonderful weekend, and that your Monday will be short.  🙂

#NSale Product Reviews

Nordstrom

Hi guys!  Happy Friday!  Since the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is officially open to the public, I wanted to take a minute and share some of my favorite purchases from the sale with all of you, along with some honest reviews of what I think about the products I purchased.

You can also shop my GUIDE TO THE NORDSTROM SALE here.

NSale OutfitsNSale 1

STRAPPY TOP:  My favorite purchase of the sale.  It’s under $20 and comes in a bunch of other colors.  I also bought the black.  Would definitely recommend this one.  Oh, and the back has the same cute strappy detailing as the front!

BOYFRIEND JEANS: LOVE these!  I am a total jean snob and usually only buy certain brands, but I loved the cut off bottoms of these (and the price! only $65!), so I took a chance and tried them. And I am SO glad I did.  Really love these.

NSale 3

SHIRT DRESS: I am always a sucker for a good shirts dress.  And anything olive green (obviously).  So this one was a no brainer for me.  It’s a great price point and I think it is SO cute.  My only hang up is that the fabric wrinkles pretty easily.  Although it also comes in a really cute stripe print, which would probably mask the wrinkles a little better (if you’re concerned about that).

LACE UP HEELS: These aren’t technically a part of the sale, but they are still on major sale at Nordstrom right now and are pretty much the comfiest heels I own.  LOVE these and definitely recommend them! (more sizes here)

NSale 2

TWIST FRONT TOP: This is a top I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards, but I loved it when I tried it on, and for less than $25, I had to give it a try.  Comes in a couple other colors and is a great piece to add to any wardrobe.

PAIGE DENIM: I love Paige denim, and these beauties are under $100!  I love the length and find that the Verdugo style holds it shape really well and doesn’t stretch out over time.  One of my favorite denim styles.

NSale 4

VEST: my vest is older, but everyone needs the vest that is in the sale in their closet ASAP.  The price point is really affordable and this will be a workhorse piece in your closet all year round!

DRESS: This dress isn’t part of the sale, but it is a great basic, comes in a ton of colors and is less than $50.  I have it in 3 colors and wear them all the time.  Definitely recommend this item!

OPEN-TOE BOOTIES: My only shoe purchase of the sale, and I am in love!  They are super comfy and I love the cute little ankle cut out detail (see pic below for more detail). They are also super flattering and less than $100.

NSale 5

SADDLE BAG: Absolutely LOVE this bag!  It sold out really quickly the first go-around, so if you are interested, I would make sure and snatch up quickly if you want it.  I love all of the colors, but ultimately went with the black.

BOOTIES: Same as above

DENIM: Same as above

Don’t forget, you can shop my entire Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide here.

Happy Friday, sweet friends.  And happy shopping!

Abby

Polka Dot

I have been on the hunt for the perfect black faux fur vest for months. and finally found this cute one at Nordstrom.  And let me tell you, this vest is my new favorite thing in my closet.  in fact, I have already worn it twice in the past week!  Not only is it super soft and flattering, and but it’s a great price point too!  So if you have been wanting to add a black faux fur vest to your closet this year, then look no further!

DSC_1677 DSC_1660 DSC_1700 DSC_1676 DSC_1655 DSC_1689 DSC_1708 DSC_1709 DSC_1716Top: Loft (40% off!) | Vest: Nordstrom | Skinnies: JCrew | Necklace: Banana Republic (on sale!) | Bracelets: JCrew (here and here) | Bag: Clare V. (sold out), clutch version | Sunnies: Karen Walker c/o Ditto | Pumps: Jessica Simpson

Happy Thursday friends!  Thank you SO much for stopping by!
