Back To Black

Sometimes there is nothing better than a LBD.  Especially this time of year when paired back to a black leather jacket and a pop of leopard.  There is just something so chic, yet so effortless about it. Talk about an easy way to look like you dressed up without even trying!  And in my book, fashion shortcuts and pieces you can style all year long are the best.

Touchstone Crystal+Giveaway

Today I want to introduce you guys to a fabulous jewelry company called Touchstone Crystal.  Now I know the name sounds a little out there (at least that’s what I thought when I first heard about it), but this product is seriously incredible!  In fact, I first discovered it when I thought a girlfriend of mine was wearing diamond solitaire earrings, and when I asked her about them, she let me in on her little secret.  Touchstone Crystal was created by the Swarovski group, and all of the jewelry in turn is made with genuine Swarovski crystals and zirconia (Swarovski Zirconia is the finest simulated diamond in the world).  And do you know what that means?  Not only is the jewelry absolutely gorgeous, and top notch quality, but it is also affordable!  I picked up the beautiful statement ring I am wearing in the below photos and I can’t even being to convey how much I love it.  And not only that, but with most pieces under $100, I can’t wait to add a few more things to my jewelry collection.

Be sure to scroll below for your chance to enter to win one of 2 gift cards to Touchstone Crystal!!

Also, I wanted to take a quick second to wish my hubby a very happy birthday.  There is never a dull moment in our lives thanks to his adventurous spirit, and I feel incredibly fortunate to get to share my days with my very best friend. So here is to you, J, and your best year yet! I love you!

Raven + Lily

I am pretty sure that yesterday was the first Monday that I haven’t shared a blog post since I launched All Dolled Up.  And if you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you should: alldolledupblog), then you know I have been in Boulder cheering on my hubby at Cyclorcross Nationals.  And while we had a really fun weekend, horrible roads plus a sick husband on the drive home meant having to unexpectedly stay the night in a hotel in the middle-of-nowhere Wyoming.  So my apologies for missing yesterday!

But now that I am back, I wanted to share with you an amazing company called Raven + Lily.   I love to shop fair trade and have shared quite a few fair trade finds and companies on the blog in the past, and so I thought it was important to share the ah-mazingness of Raven + Lily with all of you.  Raven + Lily is a company founded by two women who wanted to use fashion and ethical design as a “a platform to utilize those passions to alleviate poverty among women”.  The necklace I am wearing in today’s post is a favorite of mine from their Ethiopian Collection and was created by HIV positive women from handmade beads made of melted bullet casings from previous war conflicts.  Talk about a powerful statement necklace.  You can read more about Raven + Lily here, and you can shop their incredibly gorgeous collection here, including designs from Ethiopia, Cambodia, and India.  When we are so blessed to live in this great country, and live the lives that we do, I think it’s incredibly important to give back when we can and support companies that empower women around the globe…

American Eagle Feature

I was beyond thrilled when American Eagle contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me to be a part of their Bloggers Do It Better series (ok, I was more than beyond thrilled).  I mean seriously, to have the opportunity to work with one of my absolute favorite retailers on a collaboration is literally a dream come true.  Somebody pinch me please!! And so today, I am incredibly excited to share with you what we have been working on!

The challenge that was given to my by AE was to style their Contrast Strap Bootie (in leopard) three different ways.  And while we revealing all three looks today (head on over to AE’s blog to check out my feature), I will release the specific details about each outfit one post at a time!  And so, without further adieu, I leave you with my new favorite booties, styled not just one, but three different ways!

Geometric

I love a good geometric print, but it’s not very often that I’m drawn to one enough to actually purchase and wear one.  I suppose it’s one of those things that just lies outside of my fashion comfort zone.  And to be totally honest, even though I write a blog chronicling my daily outfits, believe it or not, it is still pretty easy to get stuck in a fashion rut.  So I am constantly reminding myself to step out of that comfort zone and try something new.  Even if it’s something as seemingly small as trying out a new pattern…

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Foiled

I love silver. And metallics. And sparkles. In fact, when I was in high school, my girlfriends and I loved the Spice Girls so much that we each had our own Spice Girl name. And I was Sparkle Spice. Go figure. So needless to say, I am loving the sequin and sparkle t-shirt trend this season. Especially when paired back to destroyed jeans and other accessories of a like metallic, for a sparkly, yet monochromatic look…

So I’ve got a question.  What do you all think of my silver Michael Kors bag?  I got it for a steal at Macy’s, but am on the fence as to whether or not it’s a keeper.  Would love to know if you guys think I should love it or leave it.
