It didn’t occur to me when I originally wore this outfit, but when I was posting these photos, I realized this would have been a perfect ensemble for St. Patrick’s day! Ha! But none-the-less, this dress from Express is one of my favorite things ever (I also own it in black which you can see here). It is so comfy and cute and the perfect blank canvas to style in a multitude of ways! Plus it’s on major sale right now (under$30!!!). So, you might want to take a look and stock up, or at least snag one-I promise it’s a piece you’ll wear time and time again!

Pink Pop

There is nothing I feel more comfortable in than a basic tee, a cute moto jacket, destroyed skinnies, and a fun pair of pumps. I guess you could say it’s my uniform, and definitely my go-to ensemble when I don’t know what to wear (which happens way more often than you might think!). And while I normally gravitate towards 7 for all mankind as my denim of choice, these Citizens have quickly become my current favorites! They have the perfect amount of distressing AND they are super comfortable. Plus, you can score them on sale here!

Leopard Blazer

Like I’ve always said, leopard can be used as a neutral and works well back to pretty much any color you have in your closet. But truth be told, leopard and red is one of my all-time favorite combos-a pair that I often find myself gravitating towards. And since neutrals have been reigning supreme in my closet as of late, I decided it was time to put a little pop of color back in my wardrobe-and this was the perfect choice!

Statement Pumps

It’s no secret that I love shoes. And there is almost nothing in the whole wide world of fashion that I love more than a great pair of statement pumps! So when I spotted these gorgeous Vince Camuto stunners when I was in San Francisco for meetings last week, I knew they would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe! Not only will they look fantastic with jeans, but I am especially loving the way they amp up a simple long sleeved black dress. A perfect (and super easy!) look for date night if you ask me!

Juxtaposition

I didn’t think about it when I put this outfit together, but when I was editing these photos, I noticed the juxtaposition that I created-floral shoes and a beanie paired together in the same look! Ha! But for some reason, I think it works. Maybe it’s the part of me that’s longing for warmer weather, or maybe it’s the color combo of mint and pale pink that I can’t seem to stop wearing lately. There is a funny saying floating around Instagram that says: “Nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy”. And every time I see it, I have a good chuckle, because sometimes it isn’t that far from the truth! Such was the case for the sweater in today’s post. I tried it on at JCrew last summer and decided not to buy it (even though I loved it). And I have always regretted not purchasing it. So when I saw that JCrew Factory released an almost identical version a few weeks ago-I pounced! And I am SO glad that I did. I am a huge fan of pink, but it’s the color yellow that will always be number one in my book. So when I saw that my favorite shirt comes in a brilliant shade of yellow for Spring, it was a total no-brainer for me. And while I dressed it down today with my favorite military vest, I am already scheming up more ways to wear this fabulous shirt! Don’t love yellow? Don’t worry. This blouse comes in a multitude of colors and is the perfect top to add to your closet for work OR play!

Shades of Pink (and gray!)

I’m baaaaaack!!!! 🙂 Hope you guys don’t mind that I took a few days off from sharing outfit inspiration to enjoy my vacay in Nicaragua with my hubby. We had such a fun and relaxing time-but it’s nice to be back home and feels even better to be getting back into a routine-which of course, includes blogging!

So if you hadn’t already noticed, I’ve been really into a neutrals as of late. And as a professed lover of color, this is definitely a change for me. But one combo I have always, loved, whether I am in a neutral or color phase, has always been pale pink and gray. It is such a timeless and simple combo and perfect back to a bright pink pump if you are looking to add a little extra punch of color!
