French Kande

I am a sentimental gal and love special pieces of jewelry that carry some sort of meaning.  So when I discovered a company called French Kande, whose jewelry is both beautiful and meaningful, I knew that I wanted to share their unique pieces with all of you.

To give you a little background, French Kande jewelry is inspired by authentic French Medallions from the 1960’s that the owner of the company has collected from flea markets in Paris over the last 7 years.  Each one has a different story and is handcast from the original medallion and plated in either brass or sterling silver in the French Kande studio in L.A..

The Medallion I am wearing in today’s post is a gorgeous compass medallion that was used a as promotional piece for a fine food retailer in France in the 1960’s called Sopad.  They carried everything from fine wines to chocolates (perfect for me!).

So if you are looking to own a little piece of history, or add something incredibly unique and special (not to mention stunningly beautiful!) to your jewelry collection, then I would recommend checking out French Kande!  And right now, just for All Dolled Up readers, they are offering a FREE pair of stud earring (cast from antique French buttons) with any $150 purchase.  Just enter ALL DOLLED UP in the comments at checkout!

Olive The Other Sequins

One of my favorite aspects about fashion (and home decor!) is repurposing things that I already own.  And this sequin JCrew dress is a great example. I picked it up on clearance this summer and loved wearing it during the warmer months.  But because December is the month of sequins (and lots of red and green!), I wanted to try styling it for colder weather.  So I layered it with my favorite Portofino shirt from Express, and a new vest (that I’m completely obsessed with, BTW).  And I have to say, I love the result.  This is an outfit that would be great for a company Christmas party, a girl’s night out, or pretty much any dressy event that the month of December serves up!

Dress: JCrew (old), DYING over this version (on sale!), similar | Blouse: Express (these shirts are the BEST! I might have A LOT of them AND they’re buy one get one 50% off!) | Vest: Shein c/o (it’s under $30 and one of my favorite things in my wardrobe right now and the quality is great!  I’m wearing a medium for reference and I’m 5’3″ and a size 4/6) | Sunnies: Karen Walker c/o Ditto (try them for FREE for one month with code: ALLDOLLEDUP) | Cuffs: Stella & Dot | Necklace: Gigglosophy (under $35 and a great gift for yourself or a friend!) | Bag: Clare Vivier (sold out), clutch version | Pumps: BCBG (LOVE these! And they aren’t really this tight-my feet were super swollen from flying!)

Hope you all are having a great week!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Abby

Think Pink

Quick (late!) post coming to you guys today.  This was actually a recent outfit that I wore to work and I just had to share because I am loving bubble gum pink so much this summer.  It is a fantastic, versatile color and of course pairs perfectly back to black skinnies and nude pumps with a pop of leopard!

Working Girl

Happy Friday, sweet friends!  I hope you have all had a great week.  I was on the road for work, so despite my best intentions to get some blog posts up and running, my nights were spent getting caught up and prepped for meetings.  But today, I’m back!  And I am excited to share with you a typical outfit that I would wear to work.  Because I am on the road so much for my job (you can read about what I do here), on planes, in cars, and in and out of Executive meetings, I am always looking for work appropriate (and fashionable) outfits that are also super comfy and practical.  The Express Portofino shirt has become a staple in my closet (it comes in TONS of cute colors and prints), and I love pairing it back to simple black skinnies, basic jewelry, and a fun pump or heel for a little pop of color. I have found this to be a great basic formula for an easy wear-to-work outfit that works for just about any occaision.  Not to mention that this combo also looks fantastic with a blazer for a little more dressed up look!

Birthday Balloons…

I have always wanted to do a blog post with balloons (thanks a lot, Pinterest), but the opportunity had just really never presented itself.  That is until yesterday, when J surprised me with flowers and balloons before we left town for a quick weekend birthday celebration. And so today, in honor of my birthday, I thought I would celebrate by accessorizing my outfit with a whole bunch of pink balloons.  Because if you can’t accessorize with balloons on your birthday, then really, when can you?

Summer Crushes

Summer Crushes
I’m on the road for work today, so will be brief and leave you with a few items I am currently crushing on for the upcoming summer months.  Pretty drool-worthy, don’t you think?  Hope you all had a wonderful week!

Neon Dream

It sure was a busy weekend for the Doll family here in the SLC. Two birthday celebrations, two barbeques, and one girl’s night out in Park City made for lots of good memories and laughs with friends. And on top of all of the fun , the weather finally decided to cooperate. So to kick off a weekend full of sunshine and celebrations, I thought it was only fitting to break out one of my very favorite color combinations of the season-neon yellow and grey…

I have been on the hunt for a pair of metallic pumps for the last couple of months.  But since my guess is this will be a fleeting trend (and I’m trying to save up for sandals!), I wanted to find an affordable option.  So I was beyond thrilled when I stumbled upon this pair from Target on sale for only $14.95.  And not only were they a fantastic bargain, but they are really comfortable too.  Talk about an amzing deal!!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
