Reverse It

So I have a little secret.  Remember yesterday’s post and the super cute nude cami I was wearing underneath my red blazer?  Well guess what?  The purple cami in today’s post is the exact. same. shirt-just reversed!  I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was when I stumbled on this amazing find at Express a few weeks ago.  Not only is the styling of this particular cami perfect for a multitude of outfits, but every cami is essentially two shirts in one.  Two for the price of one??  Pretty tough to beat that kind of a deal, don’t you think?  So run, don’t walk to your local Express (or use the link below) to pick up your own.  This is definitely a must-have item in every gal’s closet this spring!  I know the mint/ivory combo is next on my wishlist.  Which one is your favorite?

Back in Black

As much as I love color, every once in a while I like to take a little break. And with my work dress code requiring so much black (not to mention that black is back in full force this year), I am finding myself spontaneously creating more and more ensembles primarily constructed of this chic raven hue.  And I have to say, I kinda like it…

I can’t get enough of my skirted coat this winter.  It is so pretty and feminine and fun.  In fact, it might just be my favorite purchase of the season.  Even if it is black.  🙂

Happy Weekend, dolls!

Little Red Riding Hood

Happy Friday, everyone! I don’t know about you, but this is always one of my very favorite weekends of the year.  And  do you know why? Because Thanksgiving is awaiting us just on the other side! I love the holidays so much, I can hardly stand it.

And with the holidays literally looming just around the corner, I finally caved and brought all of my winter coats out of storage. And as I was reviewing my personal inventory, I couldn’t help but be completely drawn to my red skirted coat. With color playing such an important role in fashion this year, I think that a brightly colored coat is an important investment that everyone should make this season. And because of the color trend, finding your perfect hue should make for a fairly easy task. Red is a great basic and a good investment because it will never go out of style, but I’ve seen everything from pale pink, to mustard, to vibrant shades of blue. So really, the choice is yours.

Last night J and I went on a little date in downtown SLC. We had a fun dinner at Flemmings and attended the unveiling of the iconic candy windows at our new downtown Macy’s. It was a fun tradition to be a part of and we were so impressed. Pretty amazing that these huge ornaments are all completely made of candy!!
