Pops Of Red

Even though the Holidays have long since come and gone (I mean seriously, how is it MARCH?), I am still absolutely loving a pop of red.  Whether it’s a red dress, a red top, a red pump, or a swipe of red across the lip, red is a color that always has a place in my wardrobe or beauty routine-no matter the season.DSC_4522 DSC_4527DSC_4547 DSC_4509 DSC_4519 DSC_4558 DSC_4514 DSC_4526 DSC_4549 DSC_4583Dress: H&M, same dress different print | Necklace: Macy’s | Hat: Macy’s (under $30!) | Sunnies: Karen Walker (on sale!) | Clutch: Clare V. Green for the Holidays (and a REALLY amazing giveaway!!)

Happy Monday, lovelies!  Today I wanted to share with you another outfit idea for the holiday season.  I love red and always tend to gravitate towards it this time of year, but I am here to tell you that green is a fantastic alternative if you are looking to change up your holiday ensembles a bit.  I never thought I would wear this skirt outside of the summer months, but paired back to black and leopard, it feels totally appropriate and perfectly festive for the holiday season!  In fact, I’m thinking of wearing this exact outfit to an even I have this week!!  But I want to know, would you all dare to wear neon green (tulle!) during the winter months???

And be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for a giveaway you don’t want to miss!!!

Jacket: Blank NYC (best jacket EVER. Also comes in pink, nude, and gray AND it’s under $100!) | Tank: JCrew | Skirt: The Girl That Loves (best tulle skirts-incredibly comfy!), also loving this color and this color, also love this version (under $40!) | Necklace: JCrew | Watch: Michael Kors | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Clutch: Clare Vivier | Leopard Pumps: Nordstrom (sold out), similar, similar

And now for the giveaway…

If you have followed my blog for a while, then you might remember that I used to wear eyelash extensions.  But after having worn them for several months, I developed a severe allergic reaction to the glue.  And the end result (besides being totally traumatized by the whole ordeal)? Pretty much all of my eyelashes fell out.  And it. was. awful.  Fortunately for me, it was right around this time that I discovered Younique 3D Fiberlash Mascara.  And let me tell you-this stuff is awesome!  I am so hooked on it.  Far less expensive and time consuming than eyelash extensions, you can control the intensity, and you can wear it with or without your current mascara.  People ask me all of the time if I wear eyelash extensions-I am telling you, this stuff is a miracle in two convenient little tubes!

And today (because it’s your lucky day!), I am teaming up with my friend Kim Rosen to give away a set of Younique 3D Fiberlash mascara to one lucky reader (click on the rafflecopter link below)!!!  Winner will be announced Tuesday, December 23rd.

Good luck and happy Monday!!!!!!

Summer Brights

I love neon. Especially a nice, bright neon yellow. And while it isn’t the easiest shade to wear, yellow in general is my absolute favorite color, so I’m partial. Which is why, of course, I couldn’t resist this pretty top. And while I can’t recommend this hue for everyone, what I can recommend is a pretty, dressed-up tank back to ripped jeans and heels for a summer night out on the town…

Pumpkin Spice

I love all things fall, and I especially love all things pumpkin. In fact, I finally caved and had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season last week, which always signifies the “official” start of fall for me. And while it’s still too warm for cozy sweaters and boots, it is just cool enough in the evenings that lightweight sweaters and pumps will suffice. So when I was recently perusing my closet for something to wear, I couldn’t help but to put the below outfit together in honor of my declaration of the beginning of fall…

So while a colored blazer should be at the top of your fall wish list, an embellished pair of pumps or flats should also be pretty darn close to the top.  There are so many fun shoes out there this season from fun animal prints, to  jewel encrusted detailing, to spikes (my favorite!),  to florlas-lots, and lots to choose from.  So just be sure and choose something!  An interesting pair of shoes is not only fun, but also a great way to add interest to an old or simple outfit!!
