Midi

I’m not very tall, at only 5’3″, so I typically shy away from midi-length dresses and skirts since I sometimes think they tend to swallow me up. But that’s not to say I don’t keep trying to find styles in this length that work for me. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found a couple of midi-length dresses at the Gap recently that are not only super soft and comfy, but are also really flattering (you can see the other midi-dress here). Plus this dress will look great with a leather jacket during the Fall season.

One of my favorite summer outfits is a casual long sleeve shirt paired with a pair of destroyed denim shorts. But since it’s such a basic look, it’s not one I feature on the blog very often. However, I love this shirt so much that I just had to share with you guys! Transitioning

I’m having a hard time believing that it’s already August. And I can’t help but find myself starting to think about Fall, and purchasing transitional and Fall specific pieces.

So in today’s post, I wanted to share with you this super cute dress and how I’m wearing it now, and how I’m going to wear it when the temperatures start dropping. Like I’ve said a lot on this blog, I love re-styling items and investing in pieces that will get a lot of use in my wardrobe.

Mad for Plaid

I’ve found that it doesn’t really matter the season, in my book, plaid always works. And right now I am really loving this cute plaid tunic from Chicwish. Since I’m short, I tied a little knot in it to give help give me some shape (a great trick for voluminous tops if you’re petite, like me!). And when the temps drop (I can’t believe I’m even thinking about that already), I can’t wait to pair it back to leggings, boots, and a cute jacket.

Hope you guys are having a great week! Is anyone else following the Olympics? I am, and I am especially loving the diving and the gymnastics this year. I just can’t seem to get enough!
