Happy Friday, sweet friends! I don’t know about you guys, but I look forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale every summer. But even as much as I love this sale, it can be a little overwhelming to shop, don’t you think? Well you’re in luck! Because I’ve done all of the dirty work for you, and have rounded up the best of the shoes, bags, tops, outerwear, denim, and dresses. And even better? No matter how old you are, I believe there are ways to participate in the trends of the season (with a little tweaking here and there) to make them age appropriate. Take the cropped trend for example. I have been wanting to give this style a try for quite a while, but I’m obviously not going to be running around town showing off my stomach. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this top that is just long to keep me covered, but just short enough to fall into the cropped category. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s off-the-shoulder (which is my absolute favorite trend this season)!

I’d love to know, do you guys like to try out modified versions of different trends?

I initially saw this dress on one of my very favorite fashion bloggers and fell in LOVE. But when I saw the price, I was definitely hesitant about taking the plunge. So when I stumbled on an amazing lookalike for less than $25, I didn’t even hesitate. Not only is this dress totally on trend and SO fun with the tassels, but the quality is fantastic. So if you’ve been eyeing the designer version of this dress, but have been apprehensive about the steep price tag (like me!), then this version of the dress is definitely for you!

I have a hard time saying no to anything striped. Particularly striped dresses this time of year. So when I spotted this cute little number at Nordstrom, I knew it would not only be the perfect thing to wear on the 4th, but that it would also be a comfy basic to keep on rotation in my closet this summer. And at only $38, who could resist?

I originally purchased this Free People dress last summer in pink and wore it for my birthday celebration in Sonoma. And I loved it so much and got so much wear out of it, that when they brought it back this season, I bought it in this pretty minty/sage color. And this summer, it is once again one of my favorite things in my closet. It’s also on sale right now, and comes in several other colors. So if you have been thinking about getting this dress, I would highly recommend it! You’ll get so much wear out of it, I promise it will be worth every penny! PLUS it has pockets this year too!

Although be warned. It seems to be running a little shorter this year than last year, so I would recommend sizing up for length.
