Casual

I wear my army green surplus jackets all the time.  So when I happened to stumble on my favorite silhouette in a pale pink color, I was 100% sold.  I love putting a new spin on an old classic, because not only is it comfortable, but it still feels fresh and new at the same time.

Romper Time

I LOVE rompers!  So I am really glad that they are back in a big way this season.  And even though the temps have been a little chilly in the SLC, I have still been able to wear some of my favorites by pairing them with denim jackets and cozy cardigans (like in today’s post). With all the crazy weather we’ve been having here in the SLC this Spring, layering has definitely been a must!

Cold Shoulder

When I was in college, my very favorite top in my closet was a white and black cold shoulder cut-out top from Bebe.  So when I saw this cute cold-shoulder sweater at Top Shop in NYC a couple of weeks ago, it pulled on my heartstrings for all sorts of nostalgic reasons.  And then it made me feel really old when I realized that I was reliving the shoulder cut-out trend for a second time in my life.  But even all these years later, it’s still a trend I love.

Tied With A Bow

If you guys haven’t heard of Chicwish yet, then I definitely suggest that you check them out.  Not only is their clothing beautiful and feminine, but their price points are fantastic.  In fact, ever since discovering them, they have quickly become a go-to for me when I’m looking for the perfect girly dress, skirt, or top (see how I styled other items from their site here, here, here, and here).

And while I have adored everything I have received from their site, the top in today’s post is definitely my favorite.  I mean really, who could resist a bubblegum pink top complete with a big ol’ bow? **swoon**

Free People Shopping Hack

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Free People.  They have the best tops and dresses, both basic and trend.  And while their prices can be high, they also have great sales.  Take for example the top in today’s post, it was originally over $100, but I scored it for just under $25.  So if you love FP like I do, but aren’t into spending over $100 on a top, then I recommend you do your Free People shopping at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Macy’s.  I always keep an eye on the pieces I love and then check prices during the weekend, when department stores typically have their big sales.  And another helpful hint?  If you have a Macy’s card, Free People is excluded from their 20% off coupons if it is full price, BUT once it breaks price and goes on sale, those 20% off codes work-so you can save even more!

Be sure to check out the end of the post as I’m sharing some of my favorite Free People tops on major sale right now!

Statement Shoes

I used to be a Footwear Buyer and Designer when I first began my career in the Fashion Industry.  So I have always had a fondness for shoes.  In fact, often times when I put an outfit together, I plan it around a specific pair of shoes that I feel like wearing.  So when I saw these stunners in NYC a couple of weeks ago, I absolutely could not resist them.  Not only are they super fun (and totally on trend with the tassels and lace-up styling), but are really comfy to boot.  Not into the silver? Well don’t worry.  They also come in a few other colors, which I have linked below as well.DSC_7431 DSC_7434 DSC_7457 DSC_7452 DSC_7502 DSC_7474 DSC_7438 DSC_7464 DSC_7490DSC_7478 DSC_7496

Jacket: cabi (my favorite!!)

Dress: Shein c/o (runs a little small through the shoulders and hips-so size up if in between sizes! for reference, I’m wearing a small, but wishing I had the medium!)

But I need your vote! So if you wouldn’t mind, I would be so appreciative if you would CLICK HERE and vote for me!

Printed

You guys probably know by now, but I love long-sleeved dresses.  They are so great for this time of year.  And when they are affordable (this one is less than $20), and present an easy way to add color and print to your wardrobe, then I say, why not take the plunge?

Budget Denim

Truth be told, I am a creature of habit when it comes to denim.  AG and 7  for All Mankind are by far away and my favorite brands and have been for several years.  I’m also a fan of Paige, Joe’s, and Citizens.  But I don’t necessarily love the high price tag of these designer brands.  So every now and again, I’ll test out denim brands based on trend.

And that’s what led me to these jeans.  I saw one of my favorite bloggers, Emily, from The Sweetest Thing, wearing this specific pair and I thought they were so cute (she tends to wear the same brands of denim that I do), that I decided to give them a try.  And I am SO glad that I did!  Not only are they cute, comfy, and fit true to size, but the best part?  They are on sale for less than $90!  So if you are looking for new denim for the spring season, I would highly recommend these!
