I am all about shades of green this season. In fact, I can’t seem to get enough. And while I’m typically drawn to shades of olive, hunter green has been at the top of my list this year. It just feels like such a fresh and updated take on this versatile shade-particularly when it’s done in suede.

Fall Trends with JCPenney

I am so excited to be teaming up with JCPenney and People StyleWatch today to share with you two of my favorite Fall trends. Up first? Bomber jackets. And while they’ve been on trend for the past couple of seasons, this year it’s worth venturing beyond army green, and picking up an embellished version complete with cute and sporty patches. And my second favorite? Fringe. But especially fringed bags.

It’s no secret that I love leopard. I mean, leopard is a neutral, after all!!!! So when I spotted this vest at Forever21, I knew it was a piece I would get a lot of wear out of-and I have! And because you guys showed so much interest when I posted a pic of it on Instagram the other day, I thought I would share it on the blog!!! I had the privilege of attending their grand opening last week, and let me tell you, the store is darling and they have so many fantastic things in stock right now! I love anything that sparkles. Especially if it adds an element of fun to an otherwise classic piece. So when I saw this jacket at Express while I was in SF last wee, I knew it was a perfect addition to my closet. I wear denim jackets all the time (especially this time of year), and I love that I now have a bit of a dressier option in my closet. I can tell this jacket is going to be on heavy repeat in my closet this year!

Well hello there, Friday! And hello there, sweet readers! I am so glad to be back with another outfit post for you guys today! My apologies for the radio silence, but I was traveling all week for work, and it poured rain all last weekend, so I fell a little behind with my outfit photos. But the good news is I’m back, AND it’s the end of another work week! So what better way to kick off the first weekend of the glorious month of October than by showcasing my favorite buffalo plaid shirt and destroyed black skinnies!

I love the black and white trend this season. And because black is such a staple (and something I know all of you already own in your own personal wardrobes), this should be an easy trend for anyone to get in on this season without necessarily having to pick up anything new. And while black and white is a relatively safe trend to try, bordering on the more serious and sophisticated side of style, remember that it’s okay to have a little fun with it and think outside of the box too-like mixing graphic prints and stripes together.

Sometimes one of my favorite things about fashion is paring things together that don’t necessarily go together. And the mashup of this skirt and top is a prime example. But I have to say, I am loving the unexpected contrast of neon back to classic black and white. And can we talk about this necklace from Ily Couture for minute? Talk about swoon-worthy! It just might be my favorite accessory of the summer!
