Today’s outfit is all about staples. This skirt from JCrew has been a tried and true favorite of mine for the past two seasons. And apparently I’m not alone, because they keep bringing it back year after year. It’s just that good. This tank from Old Navy is another piece that is going to be on heavy rotation in my closet for seasons to come. And these shoes? Definitely my go-to pair this season (in case you hadn’t noticed!). When I was in college, my very favorite top in my closet was a white and black cold shoulder cut-out top from Bebe. So when I saw this cute cold-shoulder sweater at Top Shop in NYC a couple of weeks ago, it pulled on my heartstrings for all sorts of nostalgic reasons. And then it made me feel really old when I realized that I was reliving the shoulder cut-out trend for a second time in my life. But even all these years later, it’s still a trend I love.

You all know I love surplus vests and jackets, but I’m also a huge fan of surplus pants. And these Traveler Pants from cabi clothing have quickly become a favorite in my wardrobe. This jacket is about the best thing in my closet right now. If it looks familiar, that’s because I own it in black and in a burgundy color and wear them both all of the time. In fact, I am in NYC right now and my black version was the first thing I packed for my trip. And the good news is, Nordstrom has it fully stocked in black, cognac, and this blush color right now. The fit is amazing, the faux leather is gorgeous quality, AND it’s under $100! I would highly recommend adding this piece (in at least one, if not two!), colors to your closet this season. It’s one of those classic staples that you will wear again and again (all year round), and I just can’t say enough good things about it!

You all probably know by now what a huge fan I am of army green. But what you might not know, is that one of my favorite ways to wear it is with neon or a bright pop of color. It’s a really easy way to change-up pieces you already have in your closet and give them a fresh new look.
Plus, I still can’t get over this studded jacket. I’ve had it for 2 years now and I wear it all the time. I would highly recommend it if you have been eyeing it. It literally goes with everything and is fantastic quality. You can also see how I styled it in the black here.

I love a bold floral print. Especially when mixed with a good stripe. It has been one of my favorite ways to print mix for years, and I don’t see myself tiring of this combo anytime soon.
