Oh how I love me some denim. Whether it’s a great pair of jeans, a denim jacket, a go-to pair of shorts, or a chambray shirt, I am a fan of it all. Maybe it’s my Montana roots, or maybe it’s just because denim is something everyone can wear. Either way, if you haven’t added a chambray shirt to your wardrobe yet this season, then it’s high time you took the plunge.

Now the key to wearing denim well is to select ONE piece of denim for your ensemble. Unless of course they are contrasting shades of denim, and then it’s ok to do some layering. But I definitely prefer to pair mine back to black, white, or bright colors.

Summer Brights

I love neon. Especially a nice, bright neon yellow. And while it isn’t the easiest shade to wear, yellow in general is my absolute favorite color, so I’m partial. Which is why, of course, I couldn’t resist this pretty top. And while I can’t recommend this hue for everyone, what I can recommend is a pretty, dressed-up tank back to ripped jeans and heels for a summer night out on the town…

I love lunch dates. Whether it be with friends, my hubby, or my sweet co-workers, there is always something fun about “grabbing” lunch. Where The Green Grass Grows

Not only did J and I purchase a house two years ago that needed a complete gut job and remodel on the inside, but it also needed a total overhaul of the outside as well. And after countless projects and a lot of hard work (we have done the majority of it ourselves), we are literally one project away from completion-both inside and out. And since one of my favorite things about warmer weather is fresh-cut grass (both the smell and the color), I can’t tell you how excited I am to spend countless evenings on the back deck enjoying ours this summer. And I am guessing this also might just be the explanation as to why I am so enamored with my grass-green tote right now…

Ok, ok so even though it’s been really cold and rainy here, don’t mind the background of these photos, because we don’t actually have any snow on the ground here in the SLC (well at least in the valley!). I initially fell in love with this necklace when I spotted it in JCrew at the beginning of the season. But as enamored as I was, I just couldn’t bring myself to pay the hefty retail price tag for it. And boy am I glad that I waited. Not only did I get an amazing deal on the T+J version (which is excellent quality, by the way), but I was also able to pick it up in another color. I am going to have so much fun styling this necklace over the next couple of months-I can’t wait!
