Whether you call it a denim jacket or a jean jacket, if you don’t own one, then you should! Denim jackets are a key item for Spring, and a great investment piece that will last you for seasons to come. And while they are a great layering piece while we wait for the temps to warm up, they are also really cute. In fact, my favorite way of styling them as of late is back to flirty dresses and skirts-allowing me to get into my summer wardrobe a little earlier than usual. So I have a little secret. Remember yesterday’s post and the super cute nude cami I was wearing underneath my red blazer? Well guess what? The purple cami in today’s post is the exact. same. shirt-just reversed! I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was when I stumbled on this amazing find at Express a few weeks ago. Not only is the styling of this particular cami perfect for a multitude of outfits, but every cami is essentially two shirts in one. Two for the price of one?? I am a pretty tried and true JCrew and Gap girl when it comes to my beloved button downs. And I rarely (if ever) venture outside of this cozy comfort zone. However, since I didn’t have any luck with either store on my hunt for a light gray plaid shirt this spring, I was forced to venture out. And I have to say, I am glad that I did because I am absolutely LOVING the fit and style of this Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply top. It is slightly longer in the back, the fabric is light and airy, and the fit is fantastic. In fact, it’s been such a popular shirt at Macy’s, it’s been selected as a customer favorite. And you know what that means? More prints and patterns to come! I know I’ll be on the lookout to add some additional versions of this fantastic shirt to my closet!

Leopard on leopard. What do y’all think? Yay or nay? I think yay. I am obviously a huge fan of print mixing, but typically gravitate towards pairing different patterns together (florals and stripes, stripes and leopard, polka dots and stripes, etc.). And while I believe it’s perfectly acceptable to mix two of the same print together, it definitely works best if you follow a couple of rules. The first is that the patterns are in the same or a complimentary color palette. And the second is that the size of the two different prints are contrasting. Pretty easy, don’t you think?
