Pink and Blue

I love the combination of pink and blue together.  In fact, it’s one of my all time favorite color combinations.  And another current favorite?  These ah-mazing pink lace up heels

Connect The Dots

The combination of gray and yellow is one of my all-time favorites.  And when you add polka dots, a pop of leopard, and distressed denim into the mix, in my book, it’s a pretty perfect ensemble(not to mention ideal for the weekend!)…

Spring Must-Haves (for your feet!)

Before I became an Executive with Macy’s, I was a Senior Footwear Buyer at both Sundance Catalog and Overstock.com.  So it should come as no surprise that I really (I mean really) LOVE shoes!  And so today, because footwear is off the chain this spring, I wanted to share my favorite (and affordable!) picks of the season with all of you…Spring Shoes

Happy hump day, dolls!  And happy shoe shopping!

Black and Blue

As I’ve said quite a few times this Spring, I am loving the color blue-especially anything in cobalt.  It is such a rich, gorgeous color and looks great back to a multitude of other colors.  But despite it’s versatility, sometimes pairing it back to plain old black is the perfect combination…

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I had a fantastic birthday celebration in Vegas, but I must admit, I’m a little sad it’s all over.  Sometimes the things we look forward to the most always seem to pass us by the most quickly, don’t they? And a very special thank you to all of you for the sweet birthday wishes over the weekend.  I appreciate you all SO much and you helped to make my day extra special!

Thanks for stopping by!

Light and Airy

I love a good structured peplum top. I am also particularly being drawn towards all things white this season.  So this top has (obviously) been on frequent rotation in my closet as of late.  I am also finding myself gravitating towards anything nude as far as footwear is concerned.  And how could I forget light wash denim for both jackets and jeans?  I guess it’s safe to say this warmer weather has me wanting to lighten things up a bit…

Back To Basics

Sometimes when I am shooting outfits for the blog, I feel like I need to layer on extravagant jewelry and accessories, and create outfits with lots of details and interest.  I mean obviously, those types of things photograph better, and I, of course love the challenge of coming up with unique combinations of patterns and accessories to share with you guys (not to mention that it keeps you all interested)!  But on a daily basis, my style is really pretty simple.  And so today, I thought I’d take you back to the basics and share with you an outfit you would most likely catch me in during the work week: a go-to pair of black skinnies, a comfy button down, minimal jewelry, and a great pair of pumps.  Ok, ok, so maybe the pumps aren’t so basic.  But what can I say?  Shoes are my weakness!

And to see more of my casual, everyday fashion, be sure to follow along on Instagram.  If you caught Friday’s post, then you know I post a lot of outfits on Instagram that don’t necessarily always make it to the blog.

THANK YOU so much for stopping by!

P.S. Can you believe the snow on the mountains behind me?  We had been having such gorgeous weather and then over the weekend, it turned on a dime.  Gotta love spring in the Rockies!

L’eggs Sweepstakes!

Do you guys remember L’eggs when they were sold in the iconic egg packaging?  I know I sure do. And because I always thought of them as an ’80’s staple, I was surprised (and excited!) when they contacted me and asked me to be a part of their 40th birthday celebration and re-launch of their limited edition egg packaging.  Now to be totally honest, I have always been on the fence when it comes to pantyhose and tights, and always have been.  But with the popularity of tights and pantyhose over the last year, I figured why not give them a try.  And I have to say-I am SO happy that I did.  Not only are L’eggs totally affordable (and easy to find-check your local drug store!), but they are super comfy with just the right amount of control around the tummy and thighs.  And with all of these in-between temperatures as we transition into warmer weather, they are the perfect accessory if you are anxious to start wearing all of your spring/summer dresses and skirts (like I am!).

In today’s post, I am wearing the sun-tan shade which gave my winter white legs just the right hint of color and smoothed out all of the unevenness caused by those long winter months of nothing but pants.  In fact, when we shot these photos, my hubby didn’t even realize that I was wearing pantyhose.  BUT he did tell me that my legs looked great!  So be sure to check out L’eggs at your local drug store and go here for your chance to win $1,000 cash and a fabulous trip to Las Vegas! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Ours was full of rain and cold temperatures which made for lots of naps and catching up around the house.

Here’s to warmer temperatures this week!

Jean Jacket

Whether you call it a denim jacket or a jean jacket, if you don’t own one, then you should! Denim jackets are a key item for Spring, and a great investment piece that will last you for seasons to come. And while they are a great layering piece while we wait for the temps to warm up, they are also really cute. In fact, my favorite way of styling them as of late is back to flirty dresses and skirts-allowing me to get into my summer wardrobe a little earlier than usual.  And if you are really feeling the denim jacket this season (like I am), then I would be sure to venture out and purchase one in both a dark wash (see yesterday’s post), and also in a light wash…

Tulle Cool For School

Ahhh tulle, how I love you so.  So fun, so whimsical, and the perfect fabrication to make any girl feel like a princess.  And let me tell you ladies, tulle isn’t just for ballerinas anymore.  So if you are looking for something different (and super fun!) to add to your wardrobe this spring, then a tulle skirt is the ticket.  You can wear them back to anything from a t-shirt, to a blouse, to a button down, to a jean-jacket.  Rest assured, you will be pleasantly surprised at the plethora of things you will able to style your tulle skirt with.  But perhaps more importantly, how fabulous it will make you feel…

Reverse It

So I have a little secret.  Remember yesterday’s post and the super cute nude cami I was wearing underneath my red blazer?  Well guess what?  The purple cami in today’s post is the exact. same. shirt-just reversed!  I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was when I stumbled on this amazing find at Express a few weeks ago.  Not only is the styling of this particular cami perfect for a multitude of outfits, but every cami is essentially two shirts in one.  Two for the price of one??  Pretty tough to beat that kind of a deal, don’t you think?  So run, don’t walk to your local Express (or use the link below) to pick up your own.  This is definitely a must-have item in every gal’s closet this spring!  I know the mint/ivory combo is next on my wishlist.  Which one is your favorite?
