Casual

J and I are officially on vacation this week.  Hooray!  And because we are road tripping from Utah to Montana, and will be spending our time on the water, in Glacier National Park, biking, and hanging with family and friends, my attire for the week is going to be pretty casual.  In fact, most days you will probably find me in something pretty similar to today’s outfit: a comfy worn-in tee, destroyed denim shorts, casual wedges, minimal makeup and jewelry, and less than styled hair.  And so today, I thought I’d show you a glimpse of the “everyday” me and hopefully provide some inspiration for what to wear in your real, everyday summer casual life!

Lucky Number 7

J and I have been married for seven years today.  SEVEN! Can you believe it?  I know I certainly can’t.  In fact, it almost seems like yesterday that we stood before God, our family, and friends to say I do.

They say that your wedding day is one of the best days of your life, and mine certainly was just that and more.  From perfect weather, to celebrating with all of our dearest friends and family, to delicious food, and the most dreamy spot I could have ever imaged for a wedding-it truly was one of the best days I’ve experienced.  And while it makes me a little sad that with each passing day it falls further and further behind us, I can say that I am looking forward to the years ahead of us and all of the adventures to come.  And so today, in lieu of an outfit post, I wanted to take a little walk down memory lane and share some of my favorite wedding shots with all of you!

Mellow Yellow

As promised, I wanted to show you all my fave JCrew dress without the vest (see the post of it with the vest here), for a little more dressed up version of this look.  Also, it should be noted that I am really loving neon yellow right now.  In fact, it’s kind of to the point where I feel like I just might need an intervention. To me, neon yellow is just like sunshine, only kicked up a notch.  But I want to know what you guys think!  Are you loving this color as much as I am this summer?  And which look do you prefer?  With or without the vest?

Versatility

I’m way into rompers right now.  I don’t know what it is, but I keep gravitating towards them over dresses in my closet this summer.  I think because they are actually shorts, they can have a slightly more casual feel which makes them seemingly appropriate for just about any occasion-from a backyard BBQ to date night.  BUT, rompers are also super easy to glam up.  Just add a big floppy sun hat, statement heels, and an oversized pair of sunnies-and bam! Instant glam!  And if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times-versatile pieces (like rompers!) are the key to a well-rounded wardrobe!

Lemon Lime

YOU GUYS!  I am back!  My apologies for the radio silence on the blog last week!  I was traveling for work and on vacation and between our crazy adventures and some unexpected technical issues with my memory card (I lost all of the outfit posts I had planned!), I just couldn’t get any content up.  But boy did I miss you all and couldn’t be happier to be back and sharing today’s post!

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you can follow me here), then you know I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with the incredibly talented LC Photography a couple of weeks ago.  I had such an amazing time working with them and was so happy to finally have the perfect opportunity to shoot my beloved neon tulle skirt from The Girl That Loves.  Tulle is all the rage right now and The Girl That Loves has an assortment of incredible colors and styles that are also extremely comfortable.  So if you are looking to indulge your girly, flirty side, then be sure to check them out!  And if you are in Utah, the be sure to check out LC Photography-they are the best!IMG_4231 IMG_3782 IMG_3791 IMG_3867 IMG_4164

Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by, and happy Monday!

Think Pink

Quick (late!) post coming to you guys today.  This was actually a recent outfit that I wore to work and I just had to share because I am loving bubble gum pink so much this summer.  It is a fantastic, versatile color and of course pairs perfectly back to black skinnies and nude pumps with a pop of leopard!

White Out

I love white bags and have been wanting to add one to my collection for quite some time.  And while I only had three specific features I knew the bag had to have (saffiano leather, gold hardware, and a structured shape), I had a really hard time finding just the right one.  Well thank goodness for Rebecca Minkoff and her huge spring sample sale coinciding with my birthday this year!  I was able to snatch up the Avery tote which is not only gorgeous (and one of my favorite RM bags EVER), but it also met all of my white bag requirements.  AND the icing on top of the cake?  I was able to get it for less than half of the regular retail price!  My favorite kind of purchase!

Geometry

I was never a huge fan of geometry, but I do love a great geometric print!  And this dress is no exception.  Not only is it fun and unique, but it’s also a fantastic piece to wear for work or play.  And if you are looking to make the most of your wardrobe, then a versatile dress (or two!) is key!

Back To Basics

Sometimes it’s hard to beat a basic tee back to boyfriend jeans. In fact, it’s one of my favorite go-to looks.  It’s also a super easy outfit to take from day to night- just add a fab pair of heels and some statement jewelry, and you’re off!  Easy as one, two, three!
