I’m pretty sure the best part about Fall fashion is layers. I love throwing on a cute sweater, my favorite surplus jacket, and a cozy scarf. And these booties? They are hands down my favorite, and they come in a bunch of colors. Definitely worth every penny.

I’m not sure why, but I always feel like it’s more challenging to find cute long sleeved tops then it is to find cute short sleeve or sleeveless tops. So when I find one, I typically tend to snatch it right up. And the long sleeve top in today’s is exactly one of those pieces. Not only is it darling and a great price point, but the white is on trend for the season, and all of the pretty embroidered colors will make it easy to style a number of different ways. You all probably know by now what a huge fan I am of army green. But what you might not know, is that one of my favorite ways to wear it is with neon or a bright pop of color. It’s a really easy way to change-up pieces you already have in your closet and give them a fresh new look.
Plus, I still can’t get over this studded jacket. I’ve had it for 2 years now and I wear it all the time. I would highly recommend it if you have been eyeing it. It literally goes with everything and is fantastic quality. You can also see how I styled it in the black here.

In my opinion, an ideal wardrobe has a good mix of both classic and fashion pieces. And while it’s fairly easy for me to list off my favorite places to pick up great fashion items (ASOS, Nordstrom, Express, H&M, Zara, etc.), I think it can sometimes be a bit trickier to find a tried and true classic resource.
So when I was introduced to Cabi clothing last year, I was thrilled because I knew it was going to be my go-to brand to fill in the classic pieces that my closet was missing. And while you’ve probably seen me post a few Cabi items on the blog here and there, this navy jacket has got to be my favorite purchase so far. I am fairly short, at just 5’3″, but I have long legs and a short torso, so shopping in the petites department doesn’t typically work for me. I normally just buy regular sizing, and if I ever run into a pant inseam that is a little too long, I just take them to my (amazing!) tailor here in the SLC. So when I spotted this cute peplum jacket a couple of months ago at Macy’s, and the XS was too big for me, I was initially at a loss. But when I noticed it also came in petite, I decided to give it shot. And guess what? It worked perfectly! It was a great reminder for me that if I ever have trouble with regular sizing, that petites can be a great alternative. So if you are on the short side like me, don’t forget about the petite department!
