Yellow is my absolute favorite color and has been ever since I moved past my pink and purple obsession in kindergarten. Ha! So when I saw this cute dress that was yellow, off-the-shoulder, and only $33, I knew it must have been made for me. But don’t worry, if you’re not a yellow fan (which I know everyone is not) it also comes in black. But no matter the color, it is seriously so cute and SO comfy. Pretty much the perfect go-to dress to throw on day or night.

You guys! I love this dress SO much. I was totally on the fence about it before I tried it on, but now that it’s arrived, I seriously can’t seem to stop thinking of different ways to style it. I love that you can dress it up or dress it down, and that it lends itself well back to a pop of color. The possibilities really are endless. No matter how old you are, I believe there are ways to participate in the trends of the season (with a little tweaking here and there) to make them age appropriate. Take the cropped trend for example. I have been wanting to give this style a try for quite a while, but I’m obviously not going to be running around town showing off my stomach. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this top that is just long to keep me covered, but just short enough to fall into the cropped category. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s off-the-shoulder (which is my absolute favorite trend this season)!

I’d love to know, do you guys like to try out modified versions of different trends?

I initially saw this dress on one of my very favorite fashion bloggers and fell in LOVE. But when I saw the price, I was definitely hesitant about taking the plunge. So when I stumbled on an amazing lookalike for less than $25, I didn’t even hesitate. Not only is this dress totally on trend and SO fun with the tassels, but the quality is fantastic. Though the seasons and trends come and go, long sleeve dresses have been at the top of my list for quite a while now. And this dress is a definite favorite. I love the soft pastel print, and the lightweight fabric makes it a perfect transitional piece to wear as the weather warms up (and it’s definitely getting warm around here)!
