Cold Shoulder

When I was in college, my very favorite top in my closet was a white and black cold shoulder cut-out top from Bebe. So when I saw this cute cold-shoulder sweater at Top Shop in NYC a couple of weeks ago, it pulled on my heartstrings for all sorts of nostalgic reasons. And then it made me feel really old when I realized that I was reliving the shoulder cut-out trend for a second time in my life. But even all these years later, it’s still a trend I love.

So it was a no-brainer to throw on, and left me feeling super comfy, yet put together.

I love a good vest. And when I saw this cute number on one of my favorite bloggers, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. But now that this piece is hanging in my closet, what I especially love about it is how cozy it is. It’s more like a giant blanket scarf/wrap and is the perfect piece for layering up for a little added extra warmth. If you are looking to step up your outerwear game this season, then I would highly recommend trying a furry or fuzzy coat. I initially picked up a blush pink version (which you can see here), and loved it so much, that I have been on the hunt for a more casual option the past few weeks. I’ve always considered myself more of a nude lip/lip gloss girl. But over the last couple of years, I’ve slowly been incorporating lipstick into my life-mostly pinks, reds, and corals. It wasn’t until I stumbled on MAC Rebel last holiday season that I was convinced I could try a “vampier”, purple shade. And almost a year later, it is still one of my favorite lipsticks to wear. So when this beautiful coat arrived from Cabi, MAC Rebel was actually the first thing I thought to pair it with! Ha!

And while this coat is super fun with jeans and pumps, I really can’t wait to wear it to all of my holiday parties this season! So if you are in the market for a fabulous completer piece to get you through party season in style, then I’d highly recommend this pretty little number!
