Another day, another vest. Or so seems to go my wardrobe rotation these days. But really, I just can’t help it. Vests are the perfect piece to throw on this time of year for a little extra layering. Plus, they add just the right amount of interest to an outfit to make you look extra put together. So even though I know I’ve told you guys a million times, I’ll say it again, every gal needs a great denim vest in her wardrobe! Top: ASOS (love this and it’s only $35!)

Statement Piece

You guys. I have wanted this coat for SO long. I have admired it, put it in my shopping cart about a million times, and finally took the plunge. And while the weather has been nice here in the SLC for the past couple of weeks, there is still plenty of chilly weather ahead of us (it snowed on Sunday!). And not only is this coat the perfect layering piece for all of that in-between weather, but it’s also a perfect statement piece for any wardrobe. Flower Power

I love a bold floral print. Especially when mixed with a good stripe. It has been one of my favorite ways to print mix for years, and I don’t see myself tiring of this combo anytime soon. Stripes, peplum, and jackets. Three of my very favorite things. So when I saw this cute little number (for under $20, no less), I knew it was meant to be. Not only is this a perfect piece for Spring, but it’s a great item to have in your closet to just grab and go. Gotta love pieces that make getting dressed easy!

Play The Field

The weather has been so warm here in Salt Lake the last few days, that it feels like it’s officially time to put away my heavy winter jackets and break out my lighter Spring jackets. So of course the first one I had to pull out was my favorite field jacket.

Happy LEAP DAY, my loves! Contrary to how it might appear on the blog, I love to re-wear and re-style things in my wardrobe. In fact, if you’ve been following me for any length of time, then you know I am a big fan of adding pieces to your closet that can be styled multiple ways. And this dress is a great example. Today I’m styling it with over-the-knee boots, and my favorite blush pink vest. But you can see how I styled it last fall, with gray booties and a Panama hat. Same dress, totally different looks. French Kande

Yesterday I mentioned that I celebrated the wedding of two dear friends this past weekend. And today’s outfit is what I wore to the brunch the day after the wedding. I have worn this plaid shirt a ton over the last few months because it’s a super easy piece to style in a multitude of different ways (it was last featured on the blog here). So it was a no-brainer to throw on, and left me feeling super comfy, yet put together.

Cold Shoulder

It felt like spring here in the SLC this weekend, so I used it as an opportunity to take my pretty new sweater out for a spin. And I have to say, it really is the perfect transitional piece. Not only are the colors and the off-the-shoulder styling perfect for spring, but the fabric is super warm and cozy, which makes it appropriate to wear now. This is definitely a piece that will be getting a lot of use in my wardrobe as we transition from winter to spring.
