Today’s outfit is a little out of my wheelhouse. But since I love a good chambray shirt (and have a few in my closet that are all fairly similar), I love that this one is totally different from anything else I own. The longer length in the front makes it feel a bit dressier than your typical chambray, but since it’s denim, it’s totally cool and casual for any occasion. A perfect of example of business in the front, party in the back! But I want to know, are you guys still into the chambray trend this season?

As soon as the temps begin to warm up, and the clocks spring forward, I always start thinking about what I want to wear for Easter. And today’s outfit would be a great option for an Easter dinner or brunch, or even a more casual church service. Not all outfits are created equal. There are always some that I love more than others, and this is definitely one of those. Perhaps it’s because this dress reminds me of something that I wore when I auditioned for collegiate music programs back in the day, or perhaps it’s because it incorporates so many of my favorite things (surplus vest, yellow pumps, Panama hat, dress with pockets, etc.) into one look. Whatever the reason, this is just one of those outfits that really feels like “me”, and one I can’t wait to wear again!

Statement Piece

You guys. I have wanted this coat for SO long. I have admired it, put it in my shopping cart about a million times, and finally took the plunge. And while the weather has been nice here in the SLC for the past couple of weeks, there is still plenty of chilly weather ahead of us (it snowed on Sunday!). And not only is this coat the perfect layering piece for all of that in-between weather, but it’s also a perfect statement piece for any wardrobe. Stripes, peplum, and jackets. Three of my very favorite things. So when I saw this cute little number (for under $20, no less), I knew it was meant to be. Not only is this a perfect piece for Spring, but it’s a great item to have in your closet to just grab and go. Gotta love pieces that make getting dressed easy!
