Maxi dresses are always a favorite silhouette of mine during the summer months. But the dress in today’s post just might be my favorite maxi ever. I absolutely adore the unique cut, the fact that it’s striped, and you’ll never believe it, but it’s fantastic quality and less than $25. Trust me sweet friends, if you are going to add a new maxi to your wardrobe this summer, this is the one!

I love a good tunic paired back to skinny jeans and a staple pair of pumps. It’s definitely a go-to look for me. And when I’m on the hunt for a new tunic, Free People is always a brand that I look to first. They have some of the best tops around, in my opinion. Particularly if you are looking for something flowy and comfortable for summer.

This little orchid skirt was one of my favorite purchases from last Spring. Fast forward to a year later, and it’s still one of my favorite things in my closet. I always love the look of tying a jacket or shirt around your waist, so I’m obviously a fan of the built-in version this season. It’s a great twist on a typical summer dress and is a super easy style to dress up or dress down. Plus, this particular dress is on major sale right now and I can’t recommend it enough!

I am on the short side at 5’3″, so I tend to shy away from midi-style dresses and skirts. Because of my smaller stature, longer lengths typically tend to swallow me up and not be particularly flattering. But because it’s a style I love, I do keep trying it in different silhouettes and prints as the seasons change, hoping to find something that will work for me. And this spring, I FINALLY found a midi-dress that is not only comfy and has pockets, but the print and style actually work well for my shorter frame.
